23 Years Old Black Paint Rubar Review

Did you know that using makeup cleansing wipes on a daily basis is not really good for your skin? They contain alcohol or strong preservatives and it doesn’t really contain actual makeup removing ingredients so you wipe so hard it irritates the skin. I can write a whole post about it, but Susan Yara of Mixed Makeup explains it best. That is why I prefer to use cleansing sticks by K-beauty brands because they are practically solidified oil cleansers. WHAT IS IT?

The 23 Years Old Black Paint Rubar is a multi-stick designed with an eco-friendly gentle formula, effective in deep cleansing. It is safe and gentle enough to use every day for daily exfoliation and deep cleanse in just 30 seconds.

PERFORMANCE

APPLICATION: You can rub the product directly on your skin starting with your forehead, nose, cheeks, and then the rest of your face. Do it for 30 seconds before rinsing. You don’t have to use your hands, you can just use the product alone to massage your face.

SCENT: It has a strong scent of lemon, I am not a fan. If you’re Filipino, it’ll remind you of Joy Dishwashing Liquid.

TEXTURES & FORMULA: Despite containing charcoal powder, the 23 Years Old Black Paint Rubar feels smooth on the skin. It glides easily when wet.

MY EXPERIENCE

I brought this product on my trip to Japan last December because cleansing sticks are much easier to bring and use when traveling. They don’t spill and no matter what their size, TSA officers will not confiscate it. And the 23 Years Old Black Paint Rubar is a mix of soap and balm, you can use it for double cleansing to remove makeup, sunscreen, and dirt on your skin and you don’t have to bring an extra product. And most especially, you don’t have to use makeup cleansing wipes.

This Black Paint Rubar didn’t irritate my skin which what matters for me the most. I may not be a fan of its scent, but in my week in Japan, it was effective in cleansing my skin.

However, I don’t find myself using it daily at home because I find other cleansers like Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser and By Wishtrend Acid Duo 2% Mild Gel Cleanser still much better than this product.
